With the formal participation of France in the 3rd Exchange and Exhibition of Children's Paintings in the year of the millennium (2000), the circle of children’s friendship was expanded. Judges from each of the participating countries carefully selected paintings to be included in the exhibition from a total of over 9,000 paintings. The paintings, which vividly reflected the lifestyle and culture of each of the three countries and depicted events steeped in tradition, generated much interest among the visitors. The goal of the exhibition is to bring friendship and peace to the children of the world today who will be charged with the responsibility of the 21st century tomorrow.
