KonishiFoundation for International Exchange

In 1983, the Department of Foreign Affairs approved the establishment of the Konishi International Exchange Foundation. As well as taking over the work of international exchange in medical science which, for many years, was conducted by Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the Foundation also aims to extend its range of activities to cultural exchange in order to contribute toward the development of a more international society.

At the request of the late Liao Chengzhi (Vice Chairman of the Chinese National People's Congress) to modernize Chinese medical science, various cultural exchange programs have been implemented under an agreement in addition to programs aimed at the exchange of medical science.
