Global Vision
The President’s Perspective
on Global Expansion
Building on our long-standing experience and proven track record of working sincerely with patients and healthcare professionals in Japan, Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical has defined its corporate mission as “creating medical solutions that endure into the next generation and contributing to the health of people around the world.”

Guided by the belief that “there are no borders in the exchange of medical science,” we have a history of collaboration with numerous research institutions worldwide, including the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) .
In addition, we have broadened the scope of our international exchange initiatives, expanding beyond the field of medical science to include cultural exchange programs as well.
Against this background, we have now entered a new phase—one in which we are expanding our business activities beyond Japan and into the global arena.

◆Why We Look Beyond Japan
Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical’s mainstay pain treatment, Neurotropin, has supported patient care in Japan for many years. The extensive knowledge accumulated regarding its safety and efficacy, together with the trust it has earned in clinical practice, represents an invaluable asset for our company.
At the same time, in many countries outside Japan—particularly in parts of Asia—there are countries where systematic approaches to pain management and available treatment options are not yet sufficiently established. In such healthcare environments, we have come to strongly believe that Neurotropin, together with the clinical knowledge surrounding it, has the potential to cross borders and contribute to improving the quality of life of a greater number of patients.

In parallel, many companies around the world possess ideas, technologies, and research outcomes that differ from those found in Japan. Through collaboration with such partners, we will continue to create new options to address unmet medical needs in Japan and to bring new medical solutions to patients. Furthermore, for products born from these partnerships, we intend to carefully assess their potential for global markets and advance studies and initiatives toward international deployment where appropriate.

◆Our Vision for Global Expansion
To date, we have steadily built overseas achievements, primarily in Asia, through initiatives such as establishing pharmaceutical raw material manufacturing sites in China and Vietnam, as well as developing pharmaceutical businesses in China.
Leveraging this foundation, we will focus on actively advancing partnerships with overseas companies, with the global expansion of Neurotropin—starting in Asia—serving as a key pillar of these efforts. In Asia, we will continue to expand our operations in China while pursuing business development in member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). By placing strong emphasis on collaboration with local partners, we aim to develop our business in a step-by-step and sustainable manner. Several projects have already begun, and we plan to further accelerate our efforts going forward.
From a medium- to long-term perspective, we will position the provision of medical solutions both in Japan and overseas as the two pillars of our activities, thereby building a foundation for sustainable growth.
