Since its foundation in 1939, Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical has been consistently involved in all aspects of pharmaceutical operations, from research and development to manufacturing and marketing, in order to fulfill the high expectations of medical professionals in orthopedic surgery and other specialty areas. Our strength lies in our proven track record in the orthopedic field, which we have built over the years through products such as Neurotropin®, our mainstay pain relief drug.

However, at present the healthcare and pharmaceutical manufacturing environments are undergoing tremendous changes. In order for pharmaceutical companies to continue to create new drugs and medical devices, it is essential to find new sources of innovation, create innovative solutions with the forerunners in each area, and maximize their value. This is not only so for low-molecular-weight drug discovery but also for the rest of the continually expanding domain, which now includes biopharmaceuticals, gene therapies, and regenerative medicine.

Against this backdrop, we have resolved to utilize the knowledge and experience we have accumulated over our history to build a framework for the further development of products that meet the needs of medical professionals and patients, aiming to make an “unparalleled contribution to the field of orthopedic surgery.” Under the slogan “Pioneering the future of healthcare as a team.” we have updated our R&D policy and will continue striving to develop new drugs through a more multifaceted and deeper approach.

Our initiatives aimed at making an “unparalleled contribution to the field of orthopedic surgery” also extend to medical devices, where we are working to leverage the strengths we have cultivated in pharmaceuticals. We are currently working on several projects with overseas companies aimed at bringing our products to market. Furthermore, by holistically grasping the non-medical issues facing patients and creating a future vision that will lead to measures for their resolution, the Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical Group has expanded into the nursing care business.

Nippon Zoki Pharmaceutical is a company that pursues the ideals of life science and continues to accept challenges for the greater good of the medical field and society, based firmly on science. In order to continue being a company that is needed and trusted by society, we will strive to transcend the boundaries of a pharmaceutical company to contribute to healthcare and society.
